Dr. Mayer is fantastic! I trust her with my dogs! She is compassionate, thorough, and very smart! She uncovered two issues my dog has had that had been unresolved before going to see her. She takes time to listen, understand, and accurately diagnose. Thank you so much, Dr. Mayer! You are great! I love the entire staff too!

The medical center also runs a Doggy Daycare
Was excited at first as I was under the impression that I found the perfect place for my Rosie.
Being a Client for a short time I come to drop of my dog on Monday to find out there is no daycare that day do to what I was told that one employee was no longer there. Did I not get a call? The answer was no. The girl in the front said she could watch my dog and that she would not charge the boarding fee only the daycare are fee 🤦🏻♀️ really!!
Ok, so I let that go as I had a prior commitment that I needed to keep
The second situation was when I went to pick up my dog the fee was more than what I was paying and I was not told of a increase prior. 🙃😳 They found out later that was a glitch. But was willing to take my money.
This last situation was over the top. One of the main reasons I started using this facility was the hours of service offered where perfect, and the staff was really nice at the time. Hours I was given for part time was 7:30am to 1:00pm. I was usually picking up my dog by 12:30.
I get there at 7:28 this morning and no one is here yet. 7:30 passes and still no one here. I call hoping someone inside would answer but I leave a message. Finley after much stress someone shows up. I mentioned I would like to speak with Emily the manager when I pick up my dog .
I go to pick up my dog and Emily is not there and no message for me. Another worker that I know begins to firmly lecture me on the hours because they had a situation. She repeated herself three times when I told her I did not need to hear it again. She had the nerve to tell me she needs to repeat herself because I’m not listening 😳
Another worker opens up to tell me she had a situation. Like this is to be my issue. Since I would not hear a repeat this one worker walked away so rudely!!!
It was not about being professional, it was about excuses. Then I was told they would change the time to 8:00, basically if I’m not happy! I’m paying you for a service that was agreed upon based on the information you gave me, now your trying to make me feel guilty for expecting this while treating me so rudely. Then when I continue to converse about any other situations that may arise how can I get the attention of the people that are already inside? There was no resolve. No company should put their clients in a situation to make them feel guilty for something you did and did not set up a plan to execute for situations that may come up. The client should never know about the problems in the company.
And now I’m supposed to trust my Rosie with you, seriously 😐

I can’t say enough great things about this place! They were there in our time of need for our dog Tucker. Tucker cut his hind leg on a barbed wire fence and showed no signs of pain or bleeding. When we noticed that he had this cut we started calling local vets because we were on vacation. This was our fist call and even though they closed in a hour in a half they still excepted us in to get him fixed up. Everyone there was professional, personable, and treated him with the best care a dog could ever ask for. Thank you all again for everything!

I have been going to this Veterinary clinic for a little over 3 years. Dr. Madsen used to be my vet but he is retired now. This was the 1st visit for me to meet Dr. Schmidt. I was very pleased with his comfortable manner with my dog & he asked me questions to learn about my dog, Keeley, and answered my questions as well. I feel like his manner is similar to how Dr. Madsen was so I felt very comfortable with him. He didn’t seem like he was in a big rush to move on to the next appointment and I think my dog seemed to genuinely like him despite her anxiety about being there. He was knowledgeable and competent. All in all, I left very happy and content. I would recommend the Animal Medical Center to any friends or family members I have. I already know how competent they are because they are the only clinic in Woodland Park that would treat my dog for heart worms. She is cured of the heart worms now and is a heathy, very active dog thanks to Dr. Madsen and the wonderful staff they have there!

I can not recommend AMC, here is why. We used AMC of Woodland Park boarding services for our 2 dogs in May for a Friday through Monday morning. They are closed Saturday and Sunday so we could not pick up our dogs until Monday morning even though we returned from our trip Sunday. When we picked up dogs on Monday morning we were told hey were short handed during the weekend. They had to wash our dogs bedding as they had used the bathroom on it. The only way our dogs would have used the bathroom on their bed is if they were not taken outside. The woman we spoke with when we picked up our dogs told us they did not have anyone to work the weekend so she and her daughter had to come take all of the dogs out. We were told when we dropped off our dogs they would get 5 trips outside per day. I doubt this happened being short handed. So our dogs probably got 2 trips outside and because of this they spent the weekend stuck in their kennel with a bed covered in pee and/or poop. We also did not get our metal dog water and food bowels back. Knowing this they still charged us full price, even though we did not get what we paid for. I will never use AMC again for boarding my dogs because I have no confidence my dogs will be properly cared for.
